KiteMoney (hereinafter "this app," "we," or "us") is a personal bookkeeping and budget management tool. We take your privacy and the protection of your personal information very seriously. This Privacy Policy is intended to explain how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use this app, as well as how you can exercise your rights to access, correct, and delete your information.
This Policy applies to the KiteMoney app and related services that you obtain and use through Google Play or other lawful channels. Please read and fully understand this Policy carefully before using this app. By starting to use this app, you acknowledge that you are aware of and agree to the information handling practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using this app.
We only collect information that is necessary to provide functionality to you, or within the scope of your authorized consent. If you do not provide the relevant information, you may not be able to use the corresponding feature, but this will not affect your use of other features.
You can use the core bookkeeping features of this app without registering or signing in; in that case your records are stored locally on your device. An account is only required for cloud backup and synchronization, membership purchases, and cross-device features.
When you register for or sign in to a KiteMoney account, depending on the method you choose, we collect:

The above bookkeeping data is used solely to provide you with bookkeeping, statistics, backup, and multi-device synchronization services. Except as otherwise stated in this Policy, we will not use it for any other purpose.
When you use the "photo bookkeeping / receipt recognition" feature, the receipt or bill images you select or capture are compressed and uploaded to our servers, which then forward them to the Google Gemini artificial intelligence service for recognition, in order to automatically extract information such as amount, merchant, date, and currency and fill it into the bookkeeping form.
When you use voice bookkeeping, this app invokes the speech recognition service built into your device's operating system (usually provided by the device manufacturer or Google) to convert speech into text. The capture and recognition of speech is handled by the system service, and we only receive the converted text to generate a bill.
When you purchase a KiteMoney premium membership (subscription or one-time purchase), the transaction is completed through the Google Play billing system. We do not collect or store payment credentials such as your bank card number or password. We receive and store the purchase token, product ID, order number, and transaction status used to verify and grant membership benefits.
In addition to cloud server synchronization, this app also offers the following optional backup methods, which you may choose to enable at your discretion:
You may choose to provide information such as your avatar and nickname by completing your profile. This information is not required to use this app, and declining to provide it will not affect your normal use.

This app does not display third-party advertisements. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or for building user profiles for cross-context behavioral advertising. Analytics and crash data are used only in aggregate to maintain and improve the app.

This app provides services to users worldwide. To enable features such as data synchronization, backup, and AI recognition, your information may be stored or processed on servers outside your country/region. We will take protective measures that comply with applicable legal requirements to ensure your information is adequately protected during transmission and processing.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
If you are located in a region such as the European Economic Area (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional statutory rights (such as the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to opt out of sale/sharing). We commit that: we do not sell your personal information. You may exercise the relevant rights using the contact details at the end of this Policy.
You can delete your account or your data at any time. Once you confirm, the relevant server-side data is deleted immediately and completely, with no additional retention period. This app is KiteMoney.
Steps: open the "Profile" tab → tap your avatar at the top of the page → tap "More" in the top-right corner → choose "Delete account", and complete deletion by following the on-screen instructions (including email verification code verification).
Deletion removes all server-side data associated with your account, including: account information (such as your email address); all cloud-synced bookkeeping records (bills, transfers, reimbursements, loans/repayments, installments, budgets, and their amounts, dates, notes, categories, tags, currencies, etc.); the books, asset accounts, categories, tags, and custom modules you created; and bill attachments (images, audio, video, etc.). The above data is deleted immediately and completely upon your confirmation, with no additional retention period.
Steps: open the "Profile" tab → "Data backup" → "Clear cloud data", and complete the process by following the on-screen instructions.
This immediately and completely deletes all server-side bookkeeping data, with no additional retention period; your account itself is kept.
Request by email: you can also send an email to abcd553847323@gmail.com (please use your registered email and state your deletion request), and we will verify and process it within a reasonable period.
Please note: data stored locally on your device, on your own WebDAV server, or in files you have exported is not covered by the above server-side deletion and must be deleted by you.

This app is primarily intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 (or the corresponding age stipulated by the laws of your region). If you are a minor, please use this app with the consent and guidance of your legal guardian. If we discover that we have collected children's information without the consent of a guardian, we will delete it as soon as possible.
This app may contain links or services that direct you to third parties (such as Google Play or third-party web pages). These third parties have their own independent privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their information handling practices. We recommend that you read the applicable privacy policies before using them.
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through prominent means such as in-app prompts and announcements. The updated Policy takes effect on the date it is published. If you continue to use this app after the Policy is updated, you accept the revised Policy.
